The UAE does not intend to introduce an income tax on individuals. This became known during the 9th meeting of Deputy finance ministers of Arab countries, organized by the Arab Monetary Fund. The meeting discussed issues of fiscal policy in Arab countries, including the risks of government budgets.

The meeting was attended by experts from the IMF, the World Bank and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The meetings were aimed at sharing the experience of Arab countries.
