Residence permit and work permit in the EU at the same time?

The European Union will simplify the rules of employment for citizens of third countries. Now it will be possible to obtain a work permit and a residence permit at the same time.
A preliminary agreement has been reached between Spain and the European Parliament on updating EU legislation to ensure that citizens of 3 countries apply for a work permit and a residence permit at one time. The Single Permit Directive defines the application process for EU countries to issue this permit and establishes common rights for foreign workers.
A single permit must be issued within 3 months after receipt of the application.
The text of the innovations must now be officially adopted by both the EU Council and the European Parliament.
