UBS Bank is considering moving to the USA

29.09.2025 Switzerland's largest bank, UBS, may move to the United States amid the dissatisfaction of its management with new financial requirements from the Swiss government.
This would be a radical response to the onerous capital requirements of the financial giant from Swiss regulators.

The new requirements of the authorities provide for an increase in the bank's own capital by $26 billion. The bank's management fears that this will deprive it of competitiveness in the global market.
UBS executives have already met with representatives of the administration of US President Donald Trump.
