The Queen signs Brexit act

				23.01.2020

The prime minister's Withdrawal Agreement Act was signed off by the Queen on Thursday after completing its journey through parliament. Now the deal has officially become UK law.

Further, this document should be signed by the heads of the European Council and the European Commission. Then the European Parliament will vote on it. Voting of the European Parliament will take place on January 29. After that, on January 31, UK will leave the European Union, however, until the end of 2020 there will be a transition period.

During this period, the United Kingdom will remain a member of the EU market and customs space, and will also negotiate with the EU on further rules for cooperation.
