On September 18th, 2019, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the law “On Amending the Criminal Code of Ukraine and the Criminal Procedure Code, regarding the reduction of pressure on business”.
This law is aimed at decriminalizing fictitious entrepreneurship, that is, it repeals article 205 of the Criminal Code, which determines criminal penalties for acquiring or creating business entities in order to conceal illegal activities.
September 23rd, 2019 the law has signed by the President of Ukraine.
