The OECD Multilateral Convention enters into force

				26.03.2018

The multilateral Convention on the implementation of tax agreements to prevent the erosion of the tax base and the removal of profits from taxation will enter into force on July 01st, 2018.

The entry into force of the Convention one year after its signing underlines the serious political focus on achieving a multilateral approach to the implementation of the BEPS plan.

The decision to enter into force of the Convention followed the submission of the instrument of ratification by Slovenia on 22nd March 2018. Earlier Austria, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Poland presented their instruments of ratification.

In accordance with the provisions of the Convention, its force will apply to tax agreements from 2019.

It is worth noting that the BEPS Convention has been agreed by more than 100 countries and jurisdictions.
