Ratification of the Convention with Belize

On June 26^th, 2019, the Federation Council has approved the draft law of ratification of the Convention on international cooperation with Belize.

This Treaty is aimed at ensuring economic, scientific, cultural and environmental cooperation between the countries in order to strengthen peace and security. The Treaty also provides for the fight against international terrorism.

Now the bill is at the stage of signing by the President of the Russian Federation.

The law on ratification of the international Treaty between Russia and Belize will enter into force on January 1^st, 2020.
