				08.04.2019

The EU will adopt a new framework for the verification of foreign investments for security providing and regulation of public order.

The new rules will create a mechanism of cooperation in which EU member States and the European Commission will be able to exchange the necessary information among them.

This mechanism will enable to the European Commission to provide advisory opinions to EU member States. Also the EU member States will retain the right to review and block foreign direct investments.

The regulatory framework was published on March 21, 2019. The new rules will come into force in twenty days and will be applied in 18 months.
