Pascal Saint-Amans, Director of the OECD’s Centre for Tax Policy and Administration, welcomed Panama’s decision to join the Convention.
Let us recall that the Convention was developed jointly by OECD and the Council of Europe in 1988. It was amended in 2010. G20 wished to lead it to the international standard, make it transparent and also to help developing countries gain their profit from new transparency demands. 98 states have already joined the Convention.
