Alterations in the procedure of getting «Blue Card» for highly-qualified migrants

				07.06.2016
						European Commission has taken an Action Plan to support the integration of third countries’ citizens and their economical and social impact on the European Union, as well as to reform the rules of the «Blue Card» for highly-qualified workers coming to the European Union. Under the European Union directives labour migration is its priority area.

European Union’s proposals aim at attraction of qualified workers to the European Union by means of:
  • establishing a single EU-wide scheme of workers attraction;
  • enhancing intra-EU mobility;
  • enabling Member States to adjust the salary threshold to the labour markets contexts.

The new Blue Card Scheme would bring an estimated positive annual economic impact of between € 1,4 billion to € 6,2 billion from highly skilled workers coming to the European Union.
