Article 18ΦΕ(7) of the Aliens and Immigration Law (Cap.105) as well as article 4 of the Aliens and Immigration (Amending) (No.2) Law [Ν129(Η)/2014, O.G. Annex.Η(Η) No. 4456] are set into force. Both articles apply with regards to persons, who are going to or are already working in the international business company, the majority of shares in which is held by foreign citizens.
The articles introduce new form MBCS1. Also there will be no need to fill again all from and submit documents upon the arrival of the person to Republic of Cyprus. Person is obliged to submit his/hers biometric data and sample of signature. Biometric data includes fingerprints and photographs.
Governmental fee for this service will depend on the time of residence in the country. All fee shall be paid in advance and will not be reimbursed in the case of denied residence permit.
Introduction of the biometric data requirement is hardly something new in migration matters. A lot of the countries have such provisions in their migration laws.
Now it is mandatory to submit your fingerprints, signature sample and photographs for application for residence permit in Cyprus. Everything shall be submitted in person. Mainly, you should keep it in mind if you are planning to apply for residence permit in the Republic of Cyprus.
