The Addition to tax treaty between Russia and Switzerland entered into force

				20.11.2012

November 9, 2012 the Addition to the DTA between Russia and Switzerland came into force.. However the Addition will be applying from 1 January 2013.

Recall that the Addition to the Russian-Swiss agreement was signed September 24, 2012 in Washington. The main provision of this document is an agreement between the two countries on the exchange of tax information for tax evasion. These provisions are consistent with the recommendations of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), and exchange of information between the tax authorities of Russia and Switzerland, including those that held by banks, credit institutions, nominees, agents or trustees. Thus, the Federal Tax Service of Russia will be able to ask the Swiss colleagues to provide an information about Russian citizens suspected of tax evasion.

Expert’s opinion

“In all more or less decent gas stations such as BP or Shell you can always find a cashier of different magazines with different degree of pathos.

Naturally, among others there is and Forbes too.

So after an Addition between Russia and Switzerland was signed (why, by the way in Washington?) facade of Russian-language magazine Forbes has been embellished with photo of smiling man and the caption: "the very Timchenko."

Issue was published on 26 October 2012, but we understand that before the interview it should at least collect, edit, assemble, align the information. And before this interview should generally take-create it. Align the right questions and then reconcile the answers you need. So this month is not that big time.

However - if the authorities of the Russian Federation has fired at the lead and began to pour yourself dosage information for "one of the most mysterious billionaire Putin era" - whether it comes the turn of the third "unknown shareholder" Gunvor?

Extremely interesting question. So, that goes from the category to the category of rhetorical concern.

And - especially worry about the exchange of information between the Russian Federation and Switzerland - not worth it.

Most likely, all communication will be made strictly in doses. And only with the agreement at the Washington Regional Committee.

The same businessmen who fear to get under another "witch hunt", I recommend to look at Hong Kong, Singapore and Scottish companies.

By the way, we just share, "a Singapore company with a score in the Singapore bank turnkey".

Call, write, order right now - the action will continue until the new year. "
