Work permit in France under new rules

				23.08.2024
A new immigration law in France aimed at tightening the rules for foreign workers will come into force on September 1, 2024.

Since September, the French authorities will refuse to issue work permits if the recruitment project does not correspond to the economic activity of the employer.

In the case of seasonal workers, applicants must provide evidence that the employee will be provided with housing with "decent living conditions".

According to the new law, an employer cannot be held criminally or administratively liable for helping an employee illegally enter or stay in France, harming people and using forged documents.
