Will Turkey join the BRICS?

				06.06.2024
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, who is on a visit to China, announced Turkey's desire to become a member of the BRICS.

According to Fidan, some European states oppose his country's accession to the EU, so the Turkish authorities consider BRICS as an alternative platform for integration. "We cannot ignore the fact that BRICS, as an important platform for cooperation, offers some other countries a good alternative. We see potential in BRICS," he explained.
