From May 20, EU countries will issue a single work and stay permit.
The new EU Directive on uniform residence and work permits simplifies the procedure for obtaining documents: they will be issued according to simplified and preferential rules.
Foreign workers can obtain a residence permit, which is also a work permit, and they will also be equalized with EU citizen workers who have the appropriate permit. They will also be provided with equivalent access to rental housing.
