Cyprus plans to open an embassy in Kazakhstan

						The authorities of the Republic of Cyprus have taken the initiative to open an embassy in Astana, as well as to offer a visa-free regime for citizens of Kazakhstan. The Government of Kazakhstan is ready to support the opening of a diplomatic mission in the country.

The signed memorandum of understanding provides for the possibility of direct air communication between the two countries. Kazakh airlines will be entitled to regular flights to Larnaca and Paphos, while Cypriot airlines will be able to fly to Astana and Almaty.
