The best cities for remote work

The Berlin-based WorkMotion platform conducted a study among 85 cities around the world and ranked the best cities for remote work.
The rating formed based on the convenience of cities for work combined with travel. The period of residence in the country in the study varied up to 12 months, during which the traveler continues to work for a foreign employer outside this country.
Cities were assessed according to the following parameters: the required type of visa, infrastructure for remote work, security, accessible environment, access to healthcare, mobility, income tax level, availability of food and housing, general impressions of the city.
Only 17 out of 85 cities offer a digital nomad visa for remote workers.
According to the results, only 1 city in the list received an overall score of 100, while the rating of the other countries in the top 10 ranged from 90.3 to 99.9.
Barcelona took the first place in the rating due to the availability of housing, delicious and inexpensive food and impressions. Dubai is in second place due to the zero income tax rate. Prague took the third place due to the high level of security and developed transport infrastructure.
