Croatia introduces public reporting

				08.08.2023
Croatia published in the Official Gazette a Law dated July 18, 2023, providing for the introduction of public country reporting. (Country-by-Country, CbC). The law complies with Directive (EU) 2021/2101 and takes into account the threshold of public reporting in the amount of annual consolidated income of 750 million euros for each of the last two consecutive financial years.

The report must be published on the website of the reporting company within 12 months after the end of the financial year and is available in at least one of the official languages of the European Union. Reporting companies may include the ultimate parent companies of groups that meet the threshold value, or individual companies that meet the threshold value, if the group or company does not conduct business only in Croatia. Reporting companies also include branches or subsidiaries in Croatia, if the ultimate parent company of the group is not subject to the legislation of Croatia or another EU Member State.

There is an exemption from publication of the report if it is already freely and publicly available to any person located in the territory of the European Union on the website of the Register of Annual Financial Statements.
