A unified database of citizens will be created in Russia

				22.07.2019

On July 22nd, 2019, the Government of the Russian Federation introduced a bill to the State Duma on the creation of a unified federal database containing information about the country's country population.

According to the bill, the database will contain passport data of Russians, SNILS, TIN, birth and death certificates, marital status and other information.

The authority to maintain this resource will be assigned to the Federal Tax Agency.

The purpose of creating such database is to obtain complete and reliable information about individuals. The system will also allow tax authorities to simplify the process of charging taxes, fines, penalties and other collections.
