On 30th November, 2018, amendments to the International Business companies Act were adopted in the Seychelles. They are provided for the elimination of public access to the register of Companies’ directors which should be opened since 01st December, 2018.
From now on, the register of Directors will be opened only for the execution of the judgment or when it is provided by other laws of the Seychelles, as well as the company's agents and third parties authorized by such agents.
Also the registration authority will be able to restore companies deleted from the register, in cases where they have ceased to carry out business activities, did not submit the documents required by the International business company Act, did not pay penalties and did not maintain the register of Directors, the register of shareholders, the register of beneficial owners and accounting records.
