New investment agreement was signed between China and Taiwan

Taiwan's government actively pursues a policy of rapprochement with China in the field of economic cooperation. Continuing the line of the policy between the two countries signed a long-awaited bilateral agreement on the protection and promotion of investments. Taiwan and China have reached an agreement on the issues of mutual cooperation in the development of just and favorable conditions for investors. China and Taiwan have agreed to provide at least equal treatment to investors from other countries, refer to the investors on the other hand, at least in the same way as to their investors. Both sides also pledged to cut investment restrictions for the promotion of bilateral investment. China and Taiwan also signed at the same time, the agreement to facilitate customs cooperation. Customs procedures will be simplified (including the use of information technologies and paperless customs clearance), and cargo control will be more effective.

Expert’s opinion

China continues to move forward by leaps and bounds. This country has established itself on the world stage long ago, not only as a representative of a cheap labor force and, therefore, cheap consumer goods. This is a winner of the Olympics. It is the largest manufacturer, ranging from children's toys, refrigerators and finishing machines. But the Chinese do not rest on our laurels and continue to move forward stubbornly, and at the same time grab the neighbors for their development. Measures taken by China and Taiwan in the field of investment and customs procedures certainly create a favorable investment environment in these jurisdictions. This is one of the most promising and rapidly developing jurisdictions that successfully employ many entrepreneurs. Due to the signed agreements will be much easier to build a business on the basis of two jurisdictions (for example, holdings). Signed cooperation agreements only favor Chinese companies with Taiwan.
