The senate of the USA decided not to raise a tax for rich men

				18.04.2012
Senators didn't support Barack Obama's initiative on raising a tax rate for the rich Americans, also known as "Buffett's rule".

According to this "rule" the Americans, earning in a year not less than $1 million, should pay taxes at least on the same rate, as middle class. Let's remind, it makes 30 %.

The initiative of democrats didn't gather necessary 60 votes. The opposition emphasized that the tax increase for the rich will frighten off businessmen that will cause reduction of workplaces.
Expert’s opinion

«Barack Obama decided to fight against huge budgetary deficiency and to direct serious investments on strengthening of USA economy. Also one of means of fight is the initiative on increase in a tax rate for rich men. It is not surprising that the republicans who are traditionally supporting big business, opposed this reform. It is worth to remember that in the end of the year there is the election of the president of America and any carried-out reforms are urged to strengthen positions of the American president.»
