The creation of Citadele Bank resulted in fruitful cooperation between the Management of the Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Latvian Government. As of September 30, 2010, the bank ranks 5th in terms of assets and loans and 3rd in terms of deposits, according to the Association of Commercial Banks of Latvia. Citadele banka holds leading positions in card issuance (4th in debit card issuance and 2nd in credit card issuance in Latvia)
