EU countries with an increase in the number of transactions in 2025

				27.08.2025
ERA Group conducted a study of European market prospects (Europe Market Survey 2024/25) in 19 European countries. The forecast is based on the market dynamics observed in the first half of 2025 and evaluates various aspects, including mortgage lending conditions.

Based on the results of the study, ERA Group determined that the largest increase in the number of transactions is expected in Portugal. This trend is reflected in data published by the National Statistical Institute of Portugal (INE), which shows a 24.9% increase in the number of transactions in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.

In 2024, Turkey (20%), the Czech Republic (43%) and Luxembourg (48%) were the leaders in the number of transactions. Portugal, in turn, was in 4th place.

France, Austria and Ireland, on the other hand, were among the leaders in countries where the volume of transactions decreased significantly, mainly due to supply shortages, which are expected to persist this year.
