UAE - how to avoid fines

				23.06.2025
						The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) is calling on UAE corporate taxpayers to register for corporate tax and file tax returns within the time limits prescribed by law to avoid administrative penalties, in accordance with the time-limited exemption introduced by the Cabinet decision.

The FTA clarified that the exemption from late registration penalties applies only to the first tax period, regardless of whether the payment deadline comes before or after the decision takes effect.
Basic conditions of release:
•companies must register to pay corporate tax through the EmaraTax FTA platform;

•the first tax return must be submitted within 7 months from the end of the organization's first tax period;

•applies to both taxable businesses and tax-exempt individuals who need to register;
