Cyprus will enter the Schengen area.

				11.07.2025
The Parliament of the Republic of Cyprus has approved a law on the establishment and operation of the National Visa Information System (VIS). This is an important step towards the country's entry into the Schengen area.
The country will create a visa information system compatible with the pan-European one, as well as integration with EU databases, including entry control and stop lists.

Thus, Cyprus intends to become the 30th member of the Schengen area in the first half of 2026.
