Russia and the UAE have agreed to avoid double taxation

				27.02.2025
On February 17, a new agreement on the avoidance of double taxation between Russia and the United Arab Emirates was signed in Abu Dhabi. The document is aimed at removing tax barriers, protecting investors and stimulating economic cooperation between the two countries.

The agreement provides for the payment of taxes only in one of the countries, preventing double taxation of individuals and legal entities. The document is expected to enter into force on January 1, 2026.

The new agreement covers private businesses and individuals. It will apply to income and corporate taxes in the UAE, as well as income, property and personal income tax in Russia.

The agreement assumes a 10% rate on income from dividends, interest and royalties (formula "10/10/10"). This is an important step towards strengthening economic ties between the two countries and creating favorable conditions for business and investors.
