Cyprus issues a digital nomad visa.

01.05.2025 The country's Migration Department has announced the start of accepting applications for a residence permit under the Cyprus Digital Nomad Visa Scheme.

The program aims to attract citizens from countries outside the European Union and the European Economic Area (EEA) to allow them to legally reside in Cyprus.
The annual quota is 500 residence permits.

Citizens of countries outside the EU/EEA, remote workers (freelancers, employees of foreign companies, business owners) with an income of at least €3,500 per month can apply for a visa. Applicants should not work for Cypriot companies or receive income from activities in Cyprus. Family members (spouses, children) can obtain a residence permit without the right to work in Cyprus. The maximum period of stay on this visa is 1 year and can be extended for another 2 years.
