UAE – taxes must be paid

12.12.2024 The UAE Federal Tax Administration (FTA) has issued a release calling on corporate taxpayers to file declarations and repay accounts payable within the time limits established by law. In particular, the release calls on taxpayers to comply with the recently extended deadlines. The deadline for filing a tax return and paying off income tax arrears has been extended to December 31, 2024 for tax periods ending February 29, 2024 or earlier. According to the standard rules, declarations and tax payable must be submitted within 9 months after the end of the tax period.

This is necessary to avoid the imposition of administrative penalties for non-compliance with the deadlines established by law for filing declarations and repayment of corporate tax arrears.
