Foreign investors are required to disclose beneficiaries

The Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation signed three resolutions establishing the procedure for disclosing information on the ownership structure of foreign investors planning transactions with Russian business entities, including those of strategic importance for ensuring the country's defense and state security.

Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated December 01, 2018 No. 1456 provides for the procedure according to which foreign legal entities and organizations under their control must submit information about their beneficiaries, beneficial owners and controlling entities to the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia.

In addition, cases of preliminary approval of a transaction or filing of a notice of a transaction with the FAS Russia are established.
