Luxembourg ratified BEPS

				16.04.2019
On April 9th, 2019 Luxembourg has ratified the Tax Treaty Related Measures To Prevent Base Erosion And Profit Shifting (MLI BEPS) Agreement; it will enter into force since August 1st, 2019.

The MLI, developed in process of negotiations with participating of more than 100 countries, as part of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development’s BEPS Plan, enables countries which have ratified the Agreement to incorporate amendments into their tax treaties without the need to revise bilateral treaties in parts.

The Convention provides general standards for counteracting the unlawful application of contracts, to prevent evasion of obtaining the status of a permanent establishment of a foreign company and to improve dispute resolution mechanisms.
