Visa-free for Russian citizens on the Maldives

On June 6^th, 2019, the Government of the Russian Federation published the Decree of the Government on signing the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Maldives on mutual abolition of visa requirements for Russian citizens and citizens of the Republic of Maldives on its official website.

Thus, Russian citizens will be able to stay in the Maldives for 90 days without having to obtain a visa. It is now sufficient to have a foreign, diplomatic or service passport for a trip to the island with blue lagoons and picturesque sandy beaches.

The agreement will enter into force on July 25^th, 2019.
