On February 06th, 2018, in Sofia an Agreement was concluded between the European Union and Norway to expand cooperation to ensure the proper calculation of value added tax. The agreement provides for the establishment of a legal framework for the prevention of VAT fraud and mutual assistance in the consideration of applications for tax reimbursement.
Norway is the first country with which the EU has signed agreements in this area, as it is part of the European economic area and it has a similar system to the European Union on the calculation of VAT.
