Countries submit instruments of ratification to OECD in the framework of a Multilateral Convention

As of 28^th June, 2019, Multilateral Convention to implementation Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent BEPS had been signed by 89 jurisdictions, ratified and deposited instruments of ratification by 29 jurisdictions.

The instruments of ratification confirm the consent of the head of state to be bound by and to comply with an international Treaty (in this case, a Multilateral Convention).

India and Belgium were among the last who deposited instruments of Ratification on the current date (25^th and 26^th June, 2019).

OECD member countries sign and ratify the Multilateral Convention to counter the erosion of the tax base, as well as to harmonize agreements without the need to revise them bilaterally.
