Eurobank Tekfen, Turkey's leading bank, was founded in 1989 as an investment and financial bank and was originally called Tekfen YatırımveFinansmanBankası A.Ş.€86.5 billion. Eurobank EFG Group has branches in Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine, Great Britain, Luxembourg and Cyprus. In 2006, Tekfen Group entered into an agreement with Eurobank EFG Group, the second largest bank in Greece, to sell a 70% stake. Thus, the bank became known as Eurobank Tekfen.
