15 Best Countries for Digital Nomads

				01.08.2024
						Consulting company Global Citizen Solutions has compiled a ranking of the best countries in the world for digital nomads, comparing relocation programs in 65 countries. The following categories were taken into account in the rating:

- the cost of a visa (application costs, income requirements);
advantages of a visa (validity period, possibility of extension, subsequent acquisition of citizenship);
- economics (cost of living, tax optimization);
- technologies and innovations;
- quality of life (health, safety, climate, environmental pollution).

Spain took the 1st place in the ranking, thanks to its startup law, simplified taxation, as well as affordable housing and advanced technologies.

The Netherlands and Norway took 2nd and 3rd places.

Estonia and Romania offer comfortable conditions for remote work, having invested significantly in technology and innovation, and are characterized by low prices compared to Western European countries.

Europe has become the undisputed leader: 12 European countries out of 15. Europe accounts for 35% of the visas issued by digital nomads.
