Netherlands and Russia are moving to a new stage of cooperation

				19.10.2011
Today the Prime Minister of the Netherlands has come to Moscow with a visit. The purpose of the trip is to strengthen economic and trade relations between the powers. The large delegation of the Netherlands includes about 85 business representatives.
At the moment the Netherlands take an important place among the trading partners of the Russian Federation, last year the trade turnover between the countries amounted about 30 billion euro, as for Russian investments to the Kingdom the official reports name the figure at 10 billion euro.
In the framework of the visit it is planned to sign several documents (including memorandum of understanding) as well as an agreement to declare 2013 the year of the Netherlands in Russia and Russia in the Netherlands.
Expert’s opinion

“The great advantage is the possibility of strengthening economic connections between Russia and the Netherlands. The mentioned tendency of cross-border cooperation will possibly have a positive impact on investors that invest their capital in the Kingdom. Perhaps in the framework of the visit some incentive programs for financial flows between the two powers will be offered. Taking into consideration the willingness of officials to see 2013 year as the year of fruitful cooperation it is reasonable to assume that there must be some positive changes in the mechanism for doing business in the states”.
